| The Ready to Learn International
Center on Care and Education of Children focuses attention on the widespread
problem of inadequate care and education for children between 0 and 8 in
developing countries. Ready to Learn provides support to service providers,
child advocates, policy makers, and donors in order to improve the quality
of programs addressing physical, psychosocial, and cognitive growth of
children in the most cost-effective manner. The Ready to Learn Center is
also engaged in partnerships
to expand women and girls' access to education and training for non-traditional
careers in technology.
We work in partnership to carry
out needs assessments, program design, training, strategic planning, policy
analysis, and research. The Ready to Learn Center combines experience in
early childhood development, maternal and child nutrition, education, and
gender. Our approaches are collaborative and are intended to build both
capacity and long-term viability for the institutions that serve children
and families. |
